Is it real ice? How is the ice maintained?
It is! Each Fall since 2004, the Steinbaugh Pavilion and adjacent parking lot turn into a winter wonderland. Created with the intentional illusion of stepping onto a frozen pond, the 5,000 square foot rink consists of a network of plastic tubing, glycol, sand, wood, and a 60-ton chiller to keep the ice frozen. The ice is maintained by a resurfacer that “cuts” the ice to ensure a smooth, glossy surface.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
Are concessions available?
Water, Coca-Cola products, snacks, and of course hot chocolate! Click HERE for a full price list of all items.
Can we bring in our own food?
You may — you can even have a pizza delivered to the Steinbaugh Pavilion if you want! We just ask that you please dispose of your own trash and not sell any of your own products to other skaters.
